You Are 30% Left Brained, 70% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.

If you’re left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.

Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet. The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.

Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.

If you’re right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.

Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Are You Right or Left Brained?

There are a couple of bloggers out there that have done this so I thought I’d give it a try (cause I’m a leader; not a follower…you know).  I was blown away by the results.  I’m not a artsy person what. so. ever!  I do enjoy sports, but not so sure about that philosophy and dreaming thing.

Hmmmmm, I’ll have to day-dream about this one……

Just Say Hello

March 28, 2007

I loved this entry in the Simple Acts of Faith book I have.  Wanted to share it:

“More than anything, Sam wanted to become the president of the university’s student body. He learned early on that the secret to campus leadership required the simplest act:  Speak to those coming down the sidewalk before they speak to you.

Same did it all the time.  Whether he was carrying books, papers, or merely taking a stroll, he would keep one eye on the person coming toward him.  If he knew the person’s name, he would call it out.  If not, he’d still speak to them.  Before long, he knew more students than anyone in the university, and many recognized him and considered him a friend.  He not only became president of the student body but president of the senior men’s honor society, an officer in his fraternity, and president of the senior class.

An article in his fraternity newspaper described, ‘Sam is one of those rare people who knows every janitor by name, passes plates in church, and loves to join organizations.’

Indeed, his secret weapon was simply being friendly, and it’s one that carried Sam Walton far, if not to the top of the business world.”

Candy Corn Vine

March 28, 2007

I’m not a hard-core gardener.  I mostly just love digging and trying to arrange God’s wonderful creations.  The boys are ALWAYS trying to help me in some sort or manner so I absolutely HAD to come up with something that’s “their’s”, so I can do my own damage.

I came across a plant that I’d not heard much about called, The Candy Corn Vine.  It’s absolutely beautiful and you can hardly go wrong with this thing.  The hummingbirds LOVE it.  It can grown indoors or outdoors.  (It does like shade if it’s outside)  Because it’s a vine, it’s constantly growing and adding flowers so it keeps the attention of my youngest and makes my oldest feel like he can do anything!

 Here’s a pic:

That’s my gardening WFMW tip.  Be sure to head over to Shannon’s for more tips.  (I, seriously get awesome tips every. single. week.)

Great Reading!

March 27, 2007

I read some great blogs.  Some are very deep (I try not to embarrass myself by commenting on those) and some are down right hilarious.  One of my favorite is Big Mama.  She’s from Texas.  Need I say more?  Being from Oklahoma (originally), there isn’t much I like about Texas, but they do breed some down-right funny women.

She recently wrote a post that just about sent me to the hospital.  I cackled and cackled until I cried.  You must read it.  It will make the worst week so much better.  And the best week last longer.

Wiki Meme

The rules are:

1) Go to Wikipedia
2) In the search box, type your birth month and day but not the year.
3) List three events that happened on your birthday
4) List two important birthdays and one death
5) One holiday or observance (if any)
6) Tag 5 other bloggers to complete

Three events:

~1896 – The X-ray machine is exhibited for the first time.
~1916 – A 611 gram chondrite type meteorite struck a house near the village of Baxter in Stone County, Missouri.
~1964 – Plans are revealed for the World Trade Center in New York City.

Two Birthdays:

1882 – A. A. Milne, English author (d. 1956)
1955 – Kevin Costner, American actor

One death:

1862 – John Tyler, 10th President of the United States (b. 1790)

One holiday or observance:

Winnie The Pooh Day (in observance of the birthday of Alan Alexander Milne, 1882.)

*Hey Mum?  Did you know about Winnie The Pooh Day??  (Ya’ll, I was called Pooh Bear from Day 1)

I got this from Simply A Musing Blog and like her I’m going to cheat a little on the end here because there are just too many people that tend to party-poo*p on the Meme’s.  It’s really interesting to do so if you decide to do it, please let me know so I can check out your blog!

Please pray!

Little Addison needs are prayers in a bad way…again.  Her Grammy will keep us updated here.

Blog feeder/stat going crazy!

March 22, 2007

 Dear first time visitors,

If you’ve come from WordPress’ Blog of the Day.  I’m honored you wanted to check my blog out.  Some of you are going to be disappointed, however.  My name, Girl Gone Wild, has a tendency to be misleading.  That is why I try to add “Bible Style” as much as I can.  If you came here hoping to see and/or read things that would be inappropriate to do or say in front of your mother, then go ahead and click on out of here.

Now, if you’re still here, then please feel free to look around and I hope you find it interesting.  I enjoy comments, but nothing negative.  I’ll just delete it and not give it a moments thought.  However, if another mom blogger gets wind of it, she’ll likely hog tie you and beat you till you scream for mercy.  It’s that ‘love others the way you want to be loved’ thing in us!

If you really enjoy my blog and want to read more blogs like this, there are a gazillion mom bloggers out there, but the few on my sidebar are my favorites, so please check them out as well.

Have a great weekend!!
